I offer private lessons in the Alexander Technique and T'ai Chi Ch'uan. With over thirty years of teaching experience, I have worked with students ranging from elementary school age children to adults in their eighties and nineties. My approach to teaching is to honor the unique strengths and learning styles of each student every lesson unfolding as a dynamic, collaborative process.
As a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, I use gentle-hands on guidance and anatomical imagery to help students re-learn how to move with greater ease, natural balance and free-flowing energy. As a Tai Chi instructor, I teach the Yang style long form. The emphasis is on learning T'ai Chi as a form of moving meditation.
In addition to teaching privately, I am also available for workshops and master classes. In the past I have taught at various organizations including corporations, health clubs, hospitals and universities throughout the United States and abroad. I am a graduate of Bennington College and the American Center for the Alexander Technique.
